How to Import a Lead File
Follow the instructions below to manually import a lead file
1. On the left side of the page, click on Marketing > Import Leads
* There is a Sample File & Specification Document that you can download at the top of the page (green & underlined). The CSV lead file MUST match the headers and data formatting on the specification and sample file or the import will not be successful. (For example, the phone number must have a column header of Phone1 so that the phone numbers in that column get mapped to the customers phone number field in Inline)
2. Click the Select button to search for your import document
3. Click the File and select Open
A) If you DO NOT have a Column on your CSV defining a CampaignCode, (name of the Campaign) then you will need to select the campaign that the leads on the CSV should be imported into.
B) If you DO have a column on your CSV defining CampaignCode, then you will not select a "default campaign", you will check the "Defined in Data File" box.
C) You should leave the "Create Campaign Targets" box checked for all imports.
4. Next, select the Import Start time (and date) you would like your file to import.
*Please note that import files will not be imported during the hours of 5am to 11am (CST) Monday - Friday. We pause imports during this time because other services are running. We do not recommend scheduling any imports to occur during call center business hours. Depending on how many leads are being imported, your users will notice a significant system slowdown if lead importing is attempted during business hours.
5. Click the Queue for Upload button
*Imports typically process within 20 to 30 minutes. You can check the status to confirm the import was successful by going back to the Marketing tab, Select Import Leads. You will see the file and status at the bottom of the page. (See screenshot below)
