Creating a New FTP User/ Giving FTP permissions

If you are adding a New User and need to assign this user FTP Access, follow these steps. If adding FTP access to an Existing User, skip to #5. 

 

  1. 1. Go to Setup > Manage Users > Users  

  1. 2. Click Add New User  

  1. 3. Fill in applicable fields (First & Last Name, Username and Password are required to save) 

  1. 4. Click Save (Once saved you will be taken back to the main Users page) 

  1. 5. Locate the relevant User from the list and click the Pencil Icon to Edit User 

  1. 6. Under SFTP Integration, Confirm the FTP Username and Username match exactly. 

 

 

 

  1. 7. Select a User Access Type from the dropdown menu  

  1.  a) User Folder Only- This means the User will only be able to access their personal folder within 

  2.      the company FTP account 

                     b) All Folder- This means the User can access the root folder and all other folders of the company 

  1. 8. Select FTP Access Type 

  1. a) Password- Allows user to sign in with a Username and Password 

  1. b) SSH(Secure Shell) Authentication is completed using the public key file saved on the user

  2.     profile 

  1. 9. Create and type a password in Ftp Password field 

  1. 10. Re-type password in Confirm Ftp Password field 

  1. 11. Click Save
