How to Create a New User
Below are the steps to create a new Inline User.
Go to Setup > Manage Users > Users > Add New User
Below is a brief explanation of each field presented when creating a New User:
First Name* (required field): User’s First Name.
Last Name: User’s Last Name.
Username* (required field): A special name given to a User to uniquely identify them in Inline.
Active: is required for the user to access the system
Locked Out: If this box is checked, the User has been locked out of the system and is prohibited from logging in.
Password* (required field): Unique password required to access the system.
Confirm* (required field): Confirm new password.
Email: Email address that will auto-populate in the send field on any email template generated by Inline.
Alt Email: Alternate Email address that will be available in a drop-down menu in the send field on any email template generated by Inline.
Affiliate: Will limit the Affiliates the User will have access to in the system
Rate Filter Set: Optional depending on utilization of multiple Rate Filters.
Phone: Field available to display the User’s preferred phone number. This field is for reference only.
Hire Date: Hire date of User. This field is for reference only.
Title: This field is title only and does not affect a User’s Security Roles.
Employee #: Provides option to store a unique employee ID number. This field is for reference only.
Password Ex Date: Date current password will expire.
Password Ex Rule: How frequently the user must change their password.
Phone Extension: If utilized, phone extensions can be viewed in the User Extensions Widget.
Manager: Assign User’s Manager. Utilized in reporting and widgets.
Override Code: Code assigned to User for overriding discount permissions.
Import Campaign: Determines the default Campaign used in the Import Leads subsection.
Time Zone: Time Zone the User is working from.
Max Finance Term: Maximum finance term allowed for this User.
License Exp Date: License expiration date. This field is for reference only.
Copy User Settings: Once a user has been created, follow the steps to copy the settings for faster data entry
Users can be copied from another User by following these steps
a. Under Manage Users > Users > Click the edit pencil next to the user’s name
b. Click the dropdown arrow next to the Tools button
c. Reassign Activities - this option allows you to reassign activities that are currently assigned to the user and assign it to another user
d. Copy User - Create a new User with the same rules as the original User
e. This will direct you to a dialog box where you will enter the new User’s information. Once complete, click the Save icon
f. Copy User Settings - A quick way to copy profile settings from an existing User to another User from a dropdown list
