How to Reset a User Password
Any user may update their own Inline password by clicking on their login name in the top right corner and selecting User Settings.
They will need to enter and confirm a new password in the “New Password” and “Confirm Password” boxes and then click on the save icon.
If a user is having trouble logging into Inline or is getting a message about their login being locked, a manager user will need to unlock the user’s account and reset their password.
Please note certain security permissions are required to update another user’s password. Please see below steps to ensure you have the necessary access.
1. Go to Setup > Security Roles
2. Choose the role you want from the selection
3. Verify the check box is set for the following variables
a. Setup Menu > View Manage Users->User Roles
b. Setup Menu > View Manage Users SubMenu
Follow the steps below to unlock a User that has been locked out and reset a user's password:
1. Go to Set Up > Manage Users > Users
2. Search for the User you want to reset
3. Click the edit pencil
4. Ensure the “Locked Out” box is unchecked
5. Click the Change Password Link (underlined in green)
6. Enter and confirm new password in the “New Password” and “Confirm Password” boxes
7. Click Save
8. After you’ve reset a user’s password that user will need to clear out their web browser cache/cookies and then type the Inline CRM URL into a new web browser page.
a. Avoid using any saved website bookmarks to login after a password reset. Users can create a new bookmark after successfully logging in with their new password.
